Seismic recalculation of NPP Mochovce

Goal

Seismic recalculation of NPP Mochovce using the Finite Element Method with CivilFEM for ANSYS.


Calculations Steps:

 

•    Generate the geometric model of the whole nuclear ancillary building
•    Generate the overall structural FE model
•    Thermal analysis of the FE model of the building
•    Static analysis of the FE model of the building, in order to assess the stress field acting on the structures and the generalized forces (moments, forces) acting on all the members, shells and beams, as well as the displacement field of the structures
•    Response spectrum analysis of the FE model of the building, in order to assess the stress field acting on the structures and the generalized forces (moments, forces) on all the members, shells and beams, as well as the displacement field of the structures
•    Time history analyses of the FE model of the buildings, using 7 accelerograms (considering three directions 7 X 3 analyses) as input for computing the resulting accelerograms in numerous selected locations on the structure floors as well as the displacement field of the structure as an envelope of the maximum values
•    Assessment of the structural resistance against the full load combination and computation of the HCLPF for each and every structural member and for the whole building. Calculation of the HCLPF value with CivilFEM for ANSYS.
