The project consists in the vibration analysis produced by a set of rotating machines (compressors) at one of ITER´s plant buildings, for end customer Fusion for Energy (F4E).
The objective was to verify that the maximum amplitude of vibration in a range of frequencies did not exceed an allowable value for all the structural parts of the building.
The stratum consisting of rock (pink), soil (blue) and compacted fill (red) was modeled.
The amplitude of displacements, accelerations and velocities at critical measurement points of the building where checked along the working frequency range of the rotating machines. |
