General purpose finite element software engineering for civil, structural and geotechnical
We are excited to announce the latest release of
CivilFEM 2024 powered by
Marc, a comprehensive software solution that integrates the power of structural and geotechnical analysis. Focusing on innovation and user-driven advancements,
CivilFEM 2024 offers an integrated platform for engineers to tackle complex engineering projects with greater precision and efficiency.
- Dummy Shells for Thin Structures: This feature integrates stresses in thin structures (one dimension significantly smaller than the other two) modeled with 3D solid elements. It allows modeling wall structures using solid elements, providing more accuracy and detail, and obtaining force and moment results typically available only in shell element models.
- Sub-structural Elements: Structural elements can now be split into sub-structural elements. These can be edited to modify their original properties. For example, different reinforcement areas can be assigned within the same reinforced concrete slab.
- Reset Displacement Option: A Reset displacement option has been added to load cases, simplifying the creation of initial state conditions (k0 state) for soils without self-weight deformation or for obtaining only relative strains and deformations from a specific moment in the simulation.
- Cracking Properties for Early-Age Concrete: Cracking properties can now be defined as constant, temperature-dependent, or time-dependent (concrete age), accommodating material softening (cracking stress) due to elevated temperatures.
- Dynamic Effects Control in Transient Load Cases: A new option allows for the deactivation of dynamic effects in transient load cases, enabling the initiation of transient analysis from a steady loading state.
